Vikings player Jerome Felton is in the Hennepin County jail on Saturday after being arrested by Eden Prairie police on suspicion of driving while impaired.

Felton, 25, was arrested shortly before midnight Friday. He is accused of second-degree DWI and refusing to submit to a chemical test, a gross misdemeanor. Bail is set at $12,000.

Along with Lex Hilliard, Felton was one of two fullbacks the Vikings signed during the early stages of free agency in March. Felton, 25, is 6 feet tall and 245 pounds and was originally drafted in the fifth-round by Detroit in 2008. He played his first three seasons with the Lions before spending last season with both the Panthers and Colts. During his career, Felton has 42 carries for 138 yards with 34 catches for 280 yards mixed in. At present, he's in the mix to compete with Hilliard and Ryan D'Imperio for the Vikings' starting fullback job.

The Vikings' next official media availability will come Wednesday during this week's session of organized team activities.
