A northern Minnesota woman died after crashing her four-wheeler into a fence, authorities said.

The wreck occurred Monday morning at a rural intersection 9 miles northwest of Bemidji, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office said.

The ATV operator was identified as Rosalee R. Miles, 42, of nearby Shevlin.

Responding to a 911 call, sheriff's deputies and a state trooper found Miles' body.

Miles was riding north on Nature Road NW., where she veered into a ditch, struck the fence and flipped in a field, the Sheriff's Office said.

She was not wearing a helmet, the Sheriff's Office added.
