Skateboarding complaint. Four skateboarders were reported taking up the whole street in the 4000 block of Partridge Circle. A deputy observed the skateboarders moving for traffic and noted they were friendly and cooperative when he made contact with them.

MAY 6

Soliciting complaint. Someone in the 9000 block of 85th Street called about a man selling meat and seafood in an aggressive manner. A deputy located the man and told him to obtain a permit for soliciting.

HUGO

MAY 5

Animal concern. A golden Labrador was found lying exhausted in a yard in the 4000 block of Empress Way. The dog's owner was found before a deputy arrived.

LAKE ELMO

MAY 10

Animal complaint. The owner of two dogs that chased a bicyclist in the area of Manning Avenue and Manning Trail, causing him to crash, was cited for having his dogs loose.

LAKE ST. CROIX BEACH

Shooting complaint. Authorities received a call about a neighbor shooting at squirrels in the 15000 block of Queens Avenue. A deputy was unable to contact the shooter but talked to his wife who was unaware of his

activities.

Motorcycle racing complaint. Thirty-five or more motorcycles were reported to be lined up at a stop sign and set to race in the area of Square Lake Trail and Paul Avenue. A deputy observed the riders pass by and determined all were moving below the speed limit.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

Squad vs. turkey. A wild turkey flew up from the side of Stonebridge Trail near Oakgreen Avenue and struck a sheriff department's squad car, damaging the driver's side mirror.

WOODBURY

MAY 6

Littering. A driver in the area of Radio Drive and Lake Road was reported throwing an empty soda can from his window. The complainant wanted police to speak to the offender but the license plate they provided was not on record.

Solicitor complaint. Someone in the area of Starlight Drive and Sunrise Drive reported that salespeople for a pest control company stopped at their house three times in one day. An officer checked the area but didn't find any solicitors.

MAY 7

Neighbor complaint. A resident called police to report multiple vehicles speeding through the area of Settlers Ridge Parkway and Valley Creek Road and not fully stopping at stop signs. The complainant admitted to swearing and flipping off one of his neighbors due to the driving issue. He was advised to find a better way to channel his frustrations.

MAY 8

Suspicious activity. A man scraping license tabs off a vehicle was reported in the area of Parkside Drive and Preserve Trail. An officer made contact with the man who explained he was changing the tabs on his vehicle.

MAY 9

Solicitor complaint. A resident in the area of Deephaven Drive and Whitewater Drive reported a man and a woman soliciting at his home without permits. The complainant said the man was rude. An officer made contact with the pair, who attempted to claim the company they worked for was a nonprofit, when it wasn't. The pair also claimed the company collects cash donations, but it was clear they were selling magazine subscriptions.
