Bystanders and first responders resuscitated a Dayton woman Saturday after she was struck by lightning at youth baseball game in Ham Lake.

At least three homes in the west metro were struck by lightning, with two set ablaze, as heavy storms rumbled across the state.

Emergency responders were called at 2:54 p.m. to Ham Lake Lion's Park in the 1200 block of 157th Avenue NE. Christine Anne Kloeppner, 48, was unresponsive, and bystanders were performing CPR.

Deputies and paramedics took over and found that she had no pulse and was not breathing, said Commander Paul Sommer. Paramedics resuscitated her while en route to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. The woman remains hospitalized and her condition is unknown.
