The field is set for next week's 3M Championship at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine.
The current top five in the Champions Tour season-long Charles Schwab Cup points race — Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer, Jay Haas, Jeff Sluman and Kenny Perry — highlight the event. In all, 58 of the 81 players in the field have won a total of 434 PGA Tour events. Two-time PGA Tour winner Paul Goydos will make his Champions Tour debut after turning 50 last month.
Local players Don Berry and John Harris earned sponsor exemptions into the event, which also includes hometown-favorite Tom Lehman. Practice rounds and pro-ams begin Monday and the 54-hole tournament begins Friday.
On Saturday, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player headline a Greats of Golf exhibition event at the course.

• Bernhard Langer has a seven-stroke cushion to take into the third round of the Senior British Open after shooting a 5-under 66 to add to his opening 65 in Bridgend, Wales. The German is at 11-under 131 overall at Royal Porthcawl.
• Two-time winner Jim Furyk birdied two of his last four holes in the Canadian Open to match the Royal Montreal record at 7-under 63 and tie Tim Petrovic atop the leaderboard.
• Coming off a dismal showing in the opening round, the U.S. shuffled its lineup and — led by new partners Lexi Thompson with Cristie Kerr and Paula Creamer with Stacy Lewis — got the desired result, beating Spain twice to earn its first points in the International Crown in Owings Mills, Md.
