With three practices' worth of installation work done over the first two days of training camp, Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve ran an up-tempo practice full of five-on-five scrimmages.

"It was good, intense," Reeve said. "We got a lot or work done. The first three practices we put a lot of stuff in, and we wanted to see it in action, give 'em a chance to see who remembers what in the heat of the moment. It was a fun day for the coaches.''

Here are some notes from practice:

--Guard Lindsay Whalen stopped by to say hello to her teammates today. Given a few days off to rest following the end of her European season, Whalen will return to practice Wednesday.

--Former Gopher Shae Kelley has looked good so far, Reeve said. Kelley is working primarily at the small forward position, where she and Asia Taylor are likely locked in a battle for a roster position.

--Recently-acquired post player Asjha Jones was away from practice Tuesday getting tests to make sure her blood deficiency wasn't a sign of a more serious problem. The good news: it wasn't. But Jones, still dealing with fatigue, likely won't practice until next week.

Reeve, though, is not worried about Jones' ability to fit in with her new teammates once she gets on the court.

--Monica Wright (calf) again missed practice. She isn't likely to practice before Saturday.
