SEPT. 11

Tailgating. A driver eastbound on Interstate Hwy. 94 near Manning Avenue was giving a written warning for tailgating after an officer noticed him driving too closely behind another vehicle. The driver, who admitted he was driving too closely, was also warned for not having proof of insurance.

SEPT. 15

Driving violations. Police pursued the driver of a motorcycle after observing him pass a vehicle at a high rate of speed in the 4000 block of St. Croix Trail. Even though the pursuit reached speeds of over 90 mph and the officer had his lights flashing, the motorcyclist told police he hadn't noticed them. He was cited for reckless driving, speeding, passing in a no passing lane and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

SEPT. 15

Noise complaint. Police checked on a report of loud music coming from the Afton Marina and Yacht Club, 16071 31st St. Police found a group of people in the parking lot who explained they were having their last party of the year. Although police didn't think the music was too loud, they advised the partiers of the complaint.

LAKE ELMO

SEPT. 14

Arrests. While on routine patrol, police noticed three people sitting on the tennis courts at Tablyn Park, 8735 Stillwater Blvd., after closing hours. After contacting and identifying the group, police discovered two of them had warrants out for their arrest and arrested them.

OAKDALE

SEPT. 14

Suspicious activity. A man reported buying a Nexis L-7 Surround Sound system from two men in a van in the parking lot of Target, 7900 32nd St. The man paid $140 for the system and now believes it is counterfeit because the normal price is $1,500. Police advised the man to avoid similar situations in the future.

Stolen car. Police pulled over a vehicle for speeding, failing to signal a turn and other violations in the 6500 block of Hwy. 5. The two occupants were taken into custody when it was determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Minneapolis. The passenger was cited for tampering with a motor vehicle. The driver was booked into the Washington County jail and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving after revocation of his license and driving violations.

PINE SPRINGS

SEPT. 11

Theft. A pressure washer valued at $250 was stolen from a detached garage in the 7000 block of 66th Street.

ST. MARY'S POINT

SEPT. 13

Trespassing. Police responded to a report of juveniles playing on a trampoline on the beach of a property in the 2000 block of River Road. When police arrived, several girls ran away down the beach. Police were told this has been an ongoing issue.

STILLWATER

SEPT. 9

Car accident. A resident in the 400 block of Maple Street reported observing a vehicle roll backwards out of a driveway and into the front door of a home across the street. The driver of the vehicle confirmed she had forgotten to put the vehicle in park.

SEPT. 12

Ordinance violation. A resident in the 800 block of 6th Street was given a warning for several ordinance violations. The yard had high grass, a junk vehicle and an improperly stacked wood pile.

WOODBURY

SEPT. 14

Seat belt violation. The driver of a vehicle in the area of Norma Lane and Hudson Road was given a citation for not wearing his seat belt.
