Brett Favre certainly will be asked about his plans for this season on Wednesday when he attend the ESPY awards in Los Angeles. However, Favre had little interest in answering any questions Monday after working out with some kids at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss.

According to an Associated Press reporter who showed up at Oak Grove, Favre appeared as if he's "getting along just fine" on his surgically repaired left ankle. Favre had the arthroscopic procedure performed in May and has been throwing to receivers at the high school for a few weeks.

But when the 40-year-old Favre got done with his hour-long workout on Monday he grinned and waved at reporters before driving off.

Here's the update from the AP on Favre's escape.

HATTIESBURG, MISS. -- Brett Favre had finished throwing to youngsters at Oak Grove High School and poked his head out of the field house to see a few reporters standing near his truck, waiting to ask him about his future plans.

Favre ducked back into the field house and, moments later, someone else jumped into Favre's truck and drove it around to the front of the building. With a wicked grin on his face, the 40-year-old quarterback ran out of the building, hopped in and drove off with nothing more than a playful wave to the waiting reporters.

Whether it's throwing passes to high school receivers or dodging members of the media, Favre looks like he's getting along just fine on that surgically repaired ankle.
