Storyteller Dwight Wilcox will tell spooky tales and ghostly legends by the fire from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the outdoor amphitheater at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve.

Complimentary s'mores and hot cider will be available during the one-hour program, geared toward older children and adults.

Camping is also available for the last weekend of the season, and the program is free with a park vehicle permit, which costs $5 per day.

Auditions for holiday musical Masquers Theatre Company of Forest Lake is holding auditions for its holiday musical, "Winter Wonderettes," from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Four women are needed, age 18 to their 30s. Bring piano music for two short songs -- ballad and uptempo -- in your key, preferably from the 1960s. A pianist will be provided.

Historical Society wants items for sale The Washington County Historical Society needs items for a rummage sale it is planning to raise money for its proposed Heritage Center in Stillwater.

Donations can be dropped off at the Warden's House Museum in Stillwater or at the Hay Lake School Museum in Scandia. If there are larger amounts of items, call the Historical Society at 651-439-5956 to organize a pickup.

Pumpkin Regatta today at Lowell Park Giant pumpkins are featured today at the Stillwater Harvest Fest and Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in at Lowell Park.

The spectacle continues as "Pumpkin Pilots" race on the St. Croix River in the Pumpkin Regatta set for 2 p.m.

Volunteers needed for used book sale The Wildwood Branch Library in Mahtomedi is seeking volunteers to help with a used book sale Thu., Nov. 1, through Sat., Nov. 3.
