Wild winger Zach Parise and his wife, Alisha, are the parents of twins.

Jaxson and Emelia are the names, according to a tweet from the Wild, and they were born yesterday.

While the Wild practices in Phoenix, Zach is home because of an injured foot, so the timing is great.

Parise said when he signed a 13-year contract with the Wild in 2012 that one of the reasons he wanted to come home to Minnesota was to start a family.

And the Parises were apparently not to be outdone by another hometown star, Joe Mauer. Joe and his wife, Maddie, had twin girls last July.

Zach will be on the U.S. Olympic team next month in Sochi, assuming his foot heals in time. The Wild hopes he can start skating by this weekend.

Will have more after practice this morning.
