Good morning commuters!
The early morning thunderstorms have left road soaked and in many places trees and power lines throughout the metro area, and to the northwest in places such as Monticello and Sherburne County. Beware of ponding and hydroplaning.
As a result traffic lights are out in places in Woodbury. There also are reports of power outages in St. Paul along Hwy. 61 north of I-494 to Lower Afton Road. Power also out in parts of Robbinsdale.
MnDOT is reporting flash flooding on southbound I-35W at 26th Street. in Minneapolis.
City streets are littered with garbage cans and downed trees, so watch out, at least until it gets light out.
