Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss was informed by the NFL on Friday that he has been fined $25,000 for failing to cooperate with the news media in violation of the league's policy, his player contract, and the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Moss was fined after failing to cooperate despite repeated attempts by reporters to interview him. He received an official warning from the NFL before being fined.

It's been an expensive week for the Vikings. Coach Brad Childress was fined $35,000 because he criticized the officiating after Sunday's loss at Green Bay and then told the media on Monday that he had been informed a mistake was made when tight end Visanthe Shiancoe's touchdown catch was overturned by referee Scott Green.

Also on Friday, right tackle Phil Loadholt was fined $20,000 for a facemask penalty on Packers linebacker Clay Matthews. He was fined more than usual because he is a repeat offender.
