A man died and another person was wounded early Thursday morning after a shooting inside Champions Bar on W. Lake Street, according to police.
The shooting victim, described only as a 51-year-old man, was found wounded inside the bar by police officers called to the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died at about 7:30 a.m.
A second shooting victim was discovered at Hennepin County Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
No one is in custody. Police urged anyone with information to call the Minneapolis Police Department's tips line at (612) 692-TIPS (8477.)
