The international appeal of the tango is on display this week. Students at the Twin Cities German Immersion School are practicing their moves with performing arts teacher Valentin Solakhau. The native of Belarus teaches music, dance and drama to students in kindergarten through sixth grade and is preparing the students for their Friday night performance in the Carnival of Cultures, a celebration of song and dance that will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Community, 1065 Summit Av., St. Paul.
