A bomb threat late Wednesday morning brought an early end to classes for all students at Maple Lake School, a single K-12 campus, authorities said.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office said it was notified of the threat shortly after 11 a.m.

"Based upon the threat, the school administration made the decision to send all students home for the day," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The School District posted on its website early in the afternoon that the threat was written on a bathroom wall.

The school is located along Hwy. 55 and has a K-12 enrollment of about 900.
