Wednesday 2/15

Though not quite 30, German violinist Julia Fischer has long been familiar to Twin Cities area audiences. And considering that she won the Yehudi Menuhin Competition at age 11, her debut on the Schubert Club's International Artist Series could almost be called "belated." Together with Ukrainian pianist Milana Chernyavska, Fischer (herself an accomplished pianist) will play works of Mozart (Sonata in B-flat major, K. 454) Schubert ("Rondo brillant" in B minor), Debussy (Sonata in G minor) and Saint-Saëns (Sonata No. 1).
