The Twins are moving TwinsFest to Target Field next year with the off-season weekend of baseball-themed activities scheduled for January 24-26.

The event has been held at the Metrodome most years since its inception in 1989, but the stadium is being demolished to make way for the new Vikings stadium. It has also been held at the Mall of America and the National Sports Center.

The Twins are still working on plans for TwinsFest, but are planning to make use of Target Field's indoor spaces and acknowledge the event will in a "smaller, more intimate setting," said Twins president Dave St. Peter in a press release.

Over the past 25 years TwinsFest has raised more than $4.2 million for programs and organizations supported by the Twins Community Fund.
