A former Champlin woman who admitted penning an anonymous note threatening to "taste" her neighbors' children will serve one year's probation and pay a $200 fine.
Carrie Pernula, 36, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of stalking. She now lives in Maple Grove.
Hennepin County District Judge Michael K. Browne agreed to a stay of adjudication, meaning the offense may be dismissed if Pernula successfully completes probation.
In September, a couple called Champlin police to report they had received an unsigned letter that read, "The children look delicious. May I have a taste?"
Soon magazines showed up mailbox addressed to "Tastee Children" and "Iwantyour Children."
Police were able to trace the magazine subscriptions to an IP address linked to Pernula. She admitted sending the things because she was angry that the children left items on her porch.
