What a week for Pitino
Louisville coach Rick Pitino enjoyed a run that few ever will have. His highlights:
• His son, Richard, was named head coach at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.
• His horse, Goldencents, which he co-owns, won the Santa Anita Derby on Saturday and is a candidate to run in the Kentucky Derby.
• He was one of seven people named to the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame on Monday.
• His Louisville Cardinals won the NCAA tournament on Monday night. He also received a $2.7 million bonus on Monday as part of deferred bonuses, and another $150,000 for winning the title.
