• FERRIS STATE 2, DENVER 1: Defenseman Simon Denis' first college goal helped the Bulldogs (23-11-5) beat the Pioneers (25-14-4). in the Midwest Regional semifinals on Friday night in Green Bay, Wis. Denis' wrist shot 2 minutes, 54 seconds in the third period gave Ferris State a two-goal lead, and it proved to be the game-winner after Denver's Drew Shore scored at 5:22 of the period. Ferris State advanced to the regional final for the second time in school history.• CORNELL 3, MICHIGAN 2 (OT): Rodger Craig scored 2:25 into overtime to give the Big Red (19-8-7) a victory over the Wolverines (24-13-4). Michigan rallied to tie the score on Kevin Lynch's goal with 4:01 left in the third period. Joakim Ryan gave Cornell a 2-1 lead with a shorthanded goal 40 seconds in the second period.

EAST REGIONAL

• UNION 3, MICHIGAN STATE 1: Troy Grosenick made 20 saves and the top-seeded Dutchmen (25-7-7) won their first Division I tournament game, beating the Spartans (19-16-4) in Bridgeport, Conn. Union scored in each of the first two periods for a 2-0 lead, and Grosenick took care of the rest.

• MASSACHUSETTS-LOWELL 4, MIAMI (OHIO) 3 (OT): Curtis McKenzie scored 2:13 into overtime to lift the third-seeded River Hawks (24-12-1) over the Redhawks (24-15-2) in Bridgeport, Conn. Josh Holmstrom, Colin Wright and Riley Wetmore each scored as the River Hawks controlled the opening 40 minutes on the way to a 3-0 lead -- but the third period was all Miami.
