ANAHEIM, CALIF. -- A Guinness Book of World Records exec told the Orange County Register that Angels fans did indeed set a world record last night for fleece blanket coverage (sorry Cleveland Cavs fans) though the official count won't be determined until Guinness runs a thorough video review.

Brilliant.

Meanwhile, it's time to look ahead to Game 3 of this series. Carl Pavano vs. the Angels' version of Francisco Liriano. Ervin Santana and Liriano are good friends and hail from nearby spots in the Dominican Republic. Though Santana is righthanded and Liriano is lefthanded, the two have a lot in common.

Liriano has the Twins excited about a potential rebound season, and the same goes for Santana and the Angels. After an All-Star campaign in 2008, Santana battled a sore elbow last season and went 8-8 with a 5.03 ERA.

This spring, there were reports of his fastball reaching the 94-95 mph range again, but he also missed a start March 23 with an inflamed bursa sac in his elbow. He came back and had a shaky start against Cleveland on March 28 but had nine strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings last Friday against the Dodgers.

Twins hitters will be anxious to see which Santana shows up tonight. Sound familiar?
