Seattle probably deserved to win Sunday's game. The Storm's defense was impressive, closing lanes to the basket, double-teaming Lynx players with the ball, making hustle plays like a block on Seimone Augustus when it looked like she had a fastbreak lay-up.

But the Lynx, who lost 65-62 at KeyArena, also had a chance to steal this win. Seimone Augustus had a rushed, but open look from the left baseline in the closing seconds. Her shot went off the rim. She was only five for 16 for 12 points.

Maya Moore was only slightly better, five for 14 from the field for 14 points.

When the two players who took almost half the Lynx's shots got a combined 10 for 30 -- 33 percent -- it is going to be hard to win. The Storm announcers on wnba.com's liveaccess kept saying the Lynx looked tired.

This was the second game in a three-day road trip. The Lynx shot poorly in the first game, 38.9 percent, but were rescued by Lindsay Whalen who was 11 of 14 for 29 points to lead her team to a 78-60 victory over Phoenix.

The rest of the team was 17 of 58 for 29.3 percent. Not good.

Nobody stepped up against Seattle. The Lynx shot 37.5 percent, had only 10 points in the first quarter and 62 in the game, all season lows. They turned into a jump-shooting team, only getting to the free throw line eight times, making 11 of 16 free throws.

Sue Bird, Seattle's best player, has been horrible shooting against the Lynx this season in two losses at Target Center. But she was like a different player on her home court, making five of seven three-pointers. It helped she was wide open on most of her attempts.

She finished with 21 points. This was a game the Storm seemed to want more.

The Lynx, down by as many as 17 points, made a nice rally in the second half, getting as close as one point.

But their 10-game winning streak ended.

Nobody ever thought they would go 34-0 through the regular season, but this was a winnable game against a less talented team.

Next fot the Lynx are home games against New York on Thursday and Chicago on Saturday. The Sky (7-2) are second in this week's wnba.com power ratings, trailing only the Lynx (10-1).

The Lynx should play better at home.
