Guess who hit a two-run homer in the Twins 4-1 victory over the Florida Marlins yesterday? That's right: Jacque Jones. That must've felt pretty good for No. 11, who remains in contention with Matt Tolbert and Alexi Casilla for that final bench spot.

Justin Morneau also went yard with a solo shot. Speaking of "going yard" it will be nice to actually be able to say that in reference to Target Field this year, since well, the Metrodome didn't really have much of a yard.

Kevin Slowey was looking good on Wednesday as well, striking out five without a walk over five scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits and lowered his spring ERA to 0.56 in four starts. Not bad. The right-hander says his pitching wrist is fully recovered after last summer's surgery that stole a solid first half from him last season where he had a 10-2 record by mid-June.

In other Twins news, the club has agreed to a minor league contract with lefty Ron Mahay, possibly in an effort to provide some depth to the bullpen in the absence of Joe Nathan.

After getting dumped by the Kansas City Royals in August last year, Mahay signed with the Twins and went on to compile a 1-0 record and 2.00 ERA over nine innings with eight strikeouts and three walks during the regular season.

So, between Jones, Tolbert and Casilla, who would you put on the Twins roster? Also, would you like to see Mahay back in the bullpen this year?
