Jones scores 35 to pace Apple Valley • APPLE VALLEY 81, PRIOR LAKE 67: Tyus Jones shot 15 for 21 from the field, leading all scorers with 35 points while dishing out seven assists as the Eagles beat the Lakers on Friday. Dennis Austin added 16 points for Apple Valley, while Jon Sobaski paced the Lakers with 21 points.

• WAYZATA 108, METROTECH 82: Zach Robertson led five Trojans in double figures with 31 points in the nonconference victory. Dominick Jackson had 25 points and Michael Miller 20 to pace MetroTech in the high-scoring contest.

• MINNEAPOLIS SOUTH 67, MINNEAPOLIS EDISON 45: Abdirahman Sheik paced three Tigers in double figures with 16 points in a victory over the Tommies. Brian Givens of South led all scorers with 16 points as only five Tommies scored in the loss.

• HILL-MURRAY 61, SIMLEY 52: Jake Christensen's 20 points led the Pioneers over the Spartans. Eric Weimar with 13 points and Jerry Butler with 11 were other Pioneers who reach double figures, while only Verneal Baxter led the Spartans with 18.

• NEW PRAGUE 62, CHASKA 57: Luke Rynda hit five three-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points to lead the Trojans over the Hawks.

• ST. PAUL HIGHLAND PARK 75, ST. PAUL CENTRAL 65: Dion Bradley's game-high 32 points led the Scots to victory over the Minutemen. Only five players scored for Highland Park, but four of them were in double digits, as Mike Koenig, Kwashon Collins-Westund and Admed Musse combined to score 38 points. Malik Durant-Haines led Central with 15.

• CENTENNIAL 70, BLAINE 67: The Cougars overcame a 53-38 deficit with 12:10 left to sneak away with a win after Joe Robel's potential game-tying three-pointer was short at the buzzer. Pierre Roddy led the Cougars with 18 points, while the Bengals were paced by Matt Barthels' 19 points.

•ST. AGNES 62, ST. CROIX LUTHERAN 57: Nick Bennett had 23 points and Jake Gutzmann 12 as the Aggies defeated the Crusaders. Lincoln Hochmuth led the Crusaders with 13 points, while Cody Sticha chipped in 12.

GIRLS' BASKBALL

North wins battle of Lakeville teams • LAKEVILLE NORTH 54, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 43: The Panthers used a 33-20 second-half run -- including going 21-of-24 from the free throw line -- to pull away for a homecourt victory over the Cougars. Simone Kolander's game-high 18 points led the Panthers. Libby Swanhorst paced the Cougars with 14.

• ARMSTRONG 70, ANDOVER 60: Sam Zbaracki's 21 points led the way in the Falcons' victory. Madi Hahn had 23 points for the Huskies.

• APPLE VALLEY 65, PRIOR LAKE 59: Melissa Swanson led a balanced Eagles attack with 15 points. Shaye Barton of the Lakers led all scorers with 16.

• ANOKA 57, OSSEO 54: Amber Bray, Hailee Gifford and Kyrah Fredenburg each scored 11 points in the Tornadoes' win over the Orioles. Phillis Webb of Osseo had 18 points, teammate Janay Morton 17.

•SIMLEY 43, HILL-MURRAY 41 (OT): Abby Kain had 15 points and Kylie Brown 13 more as the Spartans defeated the Pioneers in overtime. Sarah Langer led the Pioneers with 14 points.

•MINNEAPOLIS ROOSEVELT 66, MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST 64: Tyaneka Cage led all scorers with 32 points as the Teddies defeated the Lakers. Other Teddies in double figures included Breeyana Brittain with 16 and Kaleenma Williams with 10. Naja Woods had 24 points and Samantha Ward 21 for the Lakers.

New Prague's Bisek stops 17 shots in win • NEW PRAGUE 2, CHANHASSEN 1: Evan Bisek stopped 17 of 18 shots, and Lucas Binger and Seth Kriha each netted a goal as the Spartans defeated the Storm. Logan Wilkinson scored the lone goal for the Storm.

• NORTHFIELD 3, SHAKOPEE 1: The Raiders scored once in each period, with Andrew Scofield goals bookending one from Alexander Morsching -- which Scofield assisted -- in the victory over the Sabers. Spencer Jones stopped 33 shots for Northfield.

GIRLS' HOCKEY

Storo scores five goals as Chaska rolls • CHASKA 7, HOLY/FAMILY WACONIA 4: Kaitlin Storo had five goals and an assist as the Hawks defeated the Wildfire in a wild one. Jaci Reinke tallied a hat trick in the loss. The Hawks' four goals in the third period were the difference in the game.

• IRONDALE 7, ST. LOUIS PARK 0: Alex Toupal had a hat trick and Anna Pate stopped nine shots as the Knights shut out the Orioles. Sena Hanson had a pair of goals and assists in the victory.

• ROGERS 4, CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 0: Kaitlin Braiedy had a hat trick, and Madison Lehn added a pair of assists as the Royals defeated the Blue Jackets. Michelle Klimstra stopped 29 shots for the shutout, while Jesi Benson stopped 38 of 39 shots she faced in the loss after entering the game midway through the first period.

• ANDOVER 4, ARMSTRONG/COOPER 3: The Huskies netted a pair of goals in the third period for a comeback victory over the Falcons. Abbie Turpin, Sierra Langlie, Rebecca Voltin, Sidney Portner and Mikayla Goodin each had a pair of points in the win, while Emma Terres scored twice for the Falcons in the loss.

• HOPKINS 4, WAYZATA 4: Eight different skaters tallied single goals as the Trojans and Royals skated to a tie. Corbin Boyd assissted on all four Royals goals.
