There is still a solid chance that Rhode Island power forward Bonzie Colson could be visiting Minnesota this fall.

To date, Colson has scheduled four officials and is choosing between Minnesota, Connecticut and Temple for his fifth visit, St. Andrews High School coach Michael Hart said.

Colson -- a bit undersized for his position at 6-5 -- has already been to Pittsburgh and Florida State. Next weekend, Colson will be at Notre Dame, and then Miami over the first weekend of October.

Hart, whom Gophers coach Richard Pitino coached as an assisntant under for two years while at Providence, said partial to one school for the fifth visit.

"I'm desperately trying to get him to get him to visit Minnesota because I think it would be a great spot both academically and athletically," Hart said, adding of Pitino's days at St. Andrews "He did an unbelievable job here." If Colson visited the Gophers, it would likely be over the weekend of Oct. 11.

Both Gophers assistant Kimani Young and Pitino have been to Rhode Island to see Colson, the latter showing up at 8 a.m. on the first day of this live recruiting period, Hart said.
